Hello Marauders! Today I will be talking about the spirit week November 18 to November 22, 2024! 

On Monday November 18, the theme for this day was Academy day, where students rocked their Academy’s Dress for Success clothing. A few examples include the scrubs that the Academy of Health and Science students wear and the Academy of Arts and Communication students’ black polo shirts.

Next, we moved on to Tuesday November 19, and this day’s theme was Flannel Fall colors, where students wore the colors of fall! These colors consisted of red, orange, brown and yellow. Students wore a nice flannel shirt instead of the usual fall colors. As I walked through the hallways, I saw a lot more people wearing flannel shirts instead of fall colors, but I’m sure that people find flannel shirts more appealing. 

As the new day approached, Wednesday’s theme on November 20 was Barbeque Dad vs Soccer Mom. Students on this day wore aprons and gave themselves fake moustaches and beards, representing a barbeque dad. They even brought tongs to indicate that they were “Barbequing.” On the other hand, there were people who dressed up as soccer moms that wore a hat and running shoes with a fanny pack around them. 

Thursday’s theme on November 21, 2024 was City Life or Country Side. Many people dressed up as if they were in the countryside, and many people wore cowboy hats while others wore cowboys boots. During this day, Student Government held two games called “Pin the Feather on the Turkey,” while the other game was called Chicken Toss. If students got three chickens in a row, they won a ham from Student Government! 

Lastly, but not least, Friday’s theme was Mismatched or Odd Socks day. This last day was to end the school week off on a silly, but happy, day since the weekend was coming around!
