Marauder Minute: WASC Visits

Between October 28 and November 1, Waipahu High School was visited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, otherwise known as WASC.

WASC visitors walked around our campus and even entered into our classes. Some of you may have been asked questions regarding your classes and teachers.

The purpose of WASC is to evaluate schools across the country. Their evaluations focus on equity, inclusion, and making sure that all students have access to high level education opportunities. WASC grants accreditation to schools. This is important for future colleges and employers that will look at our degrees.

Also, this past week we had the privilege of showing WASC the amazing education opportunities here at Waipahu High School. I am confident that we did well on our evaluation. From our academies to our amazing programs and clubs, I feel that we are all blessed to attend such a great school!
